Peter Riegel’s formula is based on the following equation: t2 = t1 * (d2 / d1) ^1.06, this is the best formula to determine your best time for your next triathlon. At first, Peter Riegel’s formula can seem scary and difficult to understand, however, this is why we have created the triathlon calculator. Basic explanation of this Peter Riegel’s formula is t1 equals your initial time, d1 equals your initial distance, d2 equals the new distance you are trying to calculate approximately, and t2 equals your estimated time for the new distance.
